FAQs
What are ilanot?
Ilanot are kabbalistic diagrammatic manuscripts created between the late Middle Ages and early modern period. Literally translated as “trees,” they visualize divine realms, cosmological processes, and sacred knowledge through intricate combinations of text, geometry, and symbolic form.

Are these original artworks or reproductions?
All works offered by Ilanot Sacred Arts are museum-quality reproductions of historical manuscripts. Each print is produced from licensed, high-resolution source images and is intended to faithfully reflect the scale, detail, and visual character of the original artifact.

How are the prints produced?
Our prints are produced by a Hahnemühle Platinum Certified Studio using archival pigment inks on heavyweight, acid-free cotton paper. This process ensures exceptional clarity, tonal fidelity, and long-term stability consistent with museum conservation standards.

Are the prints made to order?
Yes. Each print is produced specifically for your order. This allows us to maintain strict quality control and offer works in both true-to-manuscript dimensions and carefully reduced scales where applicable.

How are orders packaged and shipped?
All prints are carefully packaged using archival materials. Smaller works are shipped flat, while larger formats are shipped rolled to ensure safe transit. Shipments are fully insured by default and packed by professionals experienced in fine art handling.

Can I return or exchange a print?
Because all prints are custom-made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges except in cases of shipping damage or a clear production error. If an issue arises, please contact us within 72 hours of delivery and we will work promptly to resolve it.
